Hello! My name is Megan Covington, but most people just call me Meg. I am currently a senior at Washington State University – Global Campus majoring in English (Technical and Professional Writing) with a minor in philosophy. I have a deep love for nature and spent much of my childhood outdoors. A few years ago, we relocated from Iowa to Washington state in the Suth Sound area of western Washington. When I decided to go back to school I was introduced to sustainability issues through a professor at Tacoma Community College. Following that I have worked on two big projects surrounding sustainability one focused on microplastics and the other on fast fashion. Those projects helped me see how much I care about protecting and perserving our natural environment, and I look forward to participating in that mission with Seaside Sustainability!
