Jannet Groat

Janet Groat has spent more than 25 years as a policy advocate, organizer, communicator, and nonprofit leader. Most recently, she served as Organizing Manager at Mothers Out Front in Massachusetts (2017–2024), where she trained and coached hundreds of volunteers to design and lead successful advocacy campaigns. She has also worked with the Granite State Organizing Project, Investing in Communities Initiative, and the NH Community Loan Fund, and has taught courses on nonprofit organizational management. Now an independent consultant, Janet is passionate about helping teams and individuals embrace “good trouble” and create lasting community change. She lives in Portsmouth, NH with her husband and two children.
